Intermodal Innovation LLP recently delivered a set of 25ft inter-lockable offshore baskets. Designed specifically for Sercel, the innovative application was manufactured at Intermodal Innovation facilities in Lancaster, UK.
The set can be transported and lifted offshore as one unit, the individual baskets are interchangeable.
Sercel will use these baskets to transport of seismic acquisition equipment. As a worldwide leader in the seismic acquisition industry for over 50 years, Sercel designs, manufactures and supports a full range of high-tech integrated equipment for hydrocarbon exploration in land, transition zone, ocean-bottom cable, marine, and down-hole environments.
Mr Pesnel from Sercel commented: “Thanks to Intermodal Innovation’s design capacity, we have been able to provide to our customer an innovative solution to reduce the costs due to excessive rig-time during deployment, and the lost time needed to move the tool from one location to another. Because Intermodal Innovation carried out the DNV certification, we’ve been able to offer quickly a very safe solution, without handling the complex & specific work of certification.“
